About
The business
Shiftworks puts AI to work for small and mid-size businesses: working systems, not slideware. Every engagement runs the same arc. First the assessment finds the hours hiding in your workflows. Then the build ships the automations and skills that reclaim them. Then, if you want a senior hand on call, the advisory keeps improving one workflow a month. The evidence standard is simple: if we cannot show why a recommendation will hold, we do not make it.
The best fits are businesses with real workflows that eat real hours, and a low tolerance for AI theater.
The founder
Shiftworks was founded by Omid Jesmi: fifteen years designing enterprise software inside Fortune 100 companies, the high-stakes kind where a bad flow costs real money and a good one quietly saves thousands of hours. He has a research background in financial disclosure quality, the gap between what companies claim and what their numbers show, and that habit of checking claims against evidence runs through every Shiftworks engagement. Most automation ideas here get tested on this business first.
He also publishes Progressive Disclosure, an AI design pattern library, and Legacy Users, a satirical newsletter on AI displacement.
